Terms of Service

Last updated July 19, 2026

These terms cover your use of EZBudget. By signing in, you agree to them. EZBudget is currently in private testing, and these terms may change as the product does.

What EZBudget is

EZBudget is a personal and family budgeting tool. It helps you track spending, set budgets, and work toward savings goals by connecting to your bank and credit accounts through Plaid. EZBudget is not a bank, does not hold or transmit your money, and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Nothing in the app should be treated as professional advice.

Your account

You sign in using an existing Google or Facebook account rather than a separate EZBudget password. You’re responsible for keeping that account secure, since anyone with access to it can access your EZBudget data.

Connecting your bank accounts

When you link a bank or credit account, EZBudget uses Plaid to establish a read-only connection: we can view transactions and balances, but we cannot move money, initiate payments, or make changes to your accounts. Your relationship with your financial institution, and with Plaid, is also governed by their own respective terms.

Family budgets

If you create or join a shared family budget, the other members of that family will be able to see the transactions, accounts, budgets, and goals shared within it. You’re responsible for deciding who you share a family budget with.

Acceptable use

EZBudget is intended for personal, non-commercial use by individuals and households. Don’t use it to violate the law, attempt to access another user’s data without authorization, or interfere with the operation of the service.

Service availability

EZBudget is currently in private testing and provided on an “as is” basis, without guarantees of uptime, accuracy, or availability. Categorization, balances, and transaction data depend on Plaid and your financial institution and may occasionally be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EZBudget is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for financial decisions made using information from the app, or for losses arising from service interruptions, data delays, or inaccuracies.

Ending your access

You can stop using EZBudget at any time. We may suspend or end access to the service, particularly during this private testing period, at our discretion.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. We’ll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
